Riverwood Stewardship Award
Given to any TRC volunteer, corporation, educational institution or not for profit organization, the ideal winner:
  • Contributes significant time or financial support to the stewardship program
  • Demonstrates leadership and actions as a role model
  • Promotes volunteerism in stewardship activities
  • Spearheads events or activities
  • Provides innovative ideas, and/or contributes time, resulting in furthering the Stewardship Program and the greening of Riverwood

Shirley Daniels Education Award

Given to any volunteer in TRC’s education programs, the ideal winner:
  • Contributes significant time
  • Provides innovative leadership to the program and its participants
  • Furthers the Education Program
  • Acts as a role model
  • Helps peers and children gain a better understanding and appreciation of the natural environment, and the flora and fauna of Riverwood

Douglas Campbell Gardening Award

Awarded to any TRC volunteer, the ideal winner:
  • Contributes significant time to the planning, designing, planting or maintaining of the Riverwood gardens
  • Provides leadership in the gardening tasks
  • Spearheads events or activities to showcase the gardens
  • Provides financial support for the gardens
  • Makes a lasting or meaningful contribution that results in furthering the Gardening Program

Philip Stuart Volunteer of Distinction Award

Given to any individual TRC volunteer, the ideal winner:
  • Contributes a significant amount of time and effort over the preceding year to an aspect of Riverwood operations, including events or administration
  • Demonstrates leadership of other volunteers
  • Contributes in a tangible way to the success of TRC

Charlie Brown Distinctive Service Award

Awarded to any volunteer, corporation, not for profit organization or educational institution, the ideal winner:
  • Contributes significant time or financial support to TRC
  • Provides leadership within the organization
  • Initiates innovative activities or programs, helps establish a unique service for TRC
  • Creates partnerships between TRC and other sectors such as business, education, and the community
  • Spearheads events or activities to promote TRC including promotion of membership and volunteerism
  • Represents the interests of TRC
